dc.description.abstractThis is based on interviews with 71 male members of the Beit Hanina community living in Dearborn, Michigan in the 1970s. This constituted virtually the whole community. They were asked about their length of residence in the U.S., length of time in current job, interaction with Americans, English facility, attitudes towards police, interest in American politics, views of Middle East politics, views of Palestine. Individuals were done by Palestinian undergraduate students, Adnan Abraham, Farid Badran, Mosabi Hamed, and Hani Aziz.en_US
