dc.description.abstractThis paper argues for the intimate linkage between the effectiveness of continuing professional education programs and systematic evaluation. After briefly describing the context of existing continuing education offerings for archivists, the article describes the evaluation-effectiveness link by reporting briefly on the work of educational evaluation theorists. It concludes with practical suggestions for designing an effective evaluation program.en_US
