dc.description.abstractThis document, prepared by Roberta L Dougherty as the outcome of a graduate student project in 1993, comprises 1) a brief collection history focused primarily on the acquisition of the so-called Abdul Hamid manuscripts within the Islamic Manuscripts Collection preserved in the Special Collections Research Center and 2) a preliminary handlist for unaccessioned manuscripts (which have since been fully catalogued with records appearing in the Library's online catalogue).en_US
