dc.description.abstract | Revarie (https://github.com/deanrp2/revarie) is a variographical toolset packaged as a Python library which is targeted towards computational physics applications. A variogram is a measure of random field dissimilarity across scales, it is often used in the field of geostatistics. As such, many of the programmatic tools to calculate variograms are oriented around the field of geostatistics, and furthermore, typically not able to perform the large-scale calculations needed for more diverse applications. To address this issue, Revarie was designed specifically for large-scale applications when the computational cost of variogram calculation is an immediate concern. Moreover, Revarie provides tools such as variogram model fitting and random field generation. | en_US |
