dc.description.abstractWe propose a briefcase design that will allow for collection and stable cooled storage of biological and lunar samples. Our system utilizes eggshell shaped chambers both containing and insulated by a vacuum and cooled by either a cryocooler or thermoelectric coolers, keeping the samples cold with minimal power requirements. The system is small and mobile, allowing for easy transport by astronauts, and allowing for over 35kg of samples to be collected.
