dc.description | 2023 Pamela J. Mackintosh Undergraduate Research Awards, Outstanding First-Year Research Project. In the form of a research proposal to discuss American military burial practices, this paper proposed to answer whether WW2 soldiers were buried in a way that reflected their individual identities. The project proposal captured a way to ascertain whether American commemoration techniques for WWII soldiers left room for individual identity and, thus, if the perceived nationalistic efforts of the United States matched how soldiers were treated, while addressing ethical considerations. | en_US |
