dc.description.abstract | Stroke is a major cause of disability worldwide, impacting the quality of life of those affected by limiting their mobility. Stroke survivors often suffer unilateral strength loss, impacting the shoulder joint and causing shoulder subluxation. Current solutions involve basic shoulder slings, which are prone to misuse and lack scapular support, hindering proper upper body posture. Our sponsor prioritizes the need for a solution stabilizing the humeral head while simultaneously promoting scapular posture and enabling elbow and hand mobility during therapy and transfers within the Institute. | |
