This case study documents solid waste reduction by Steelcase Inc. at its Grand Rapids and Kentwood complexes. Waste reduction activities analyzed include the Machine Improvement Program, remanufacturing, packaging source reduction, and recycling. A group of four Machine Improvement projects were selected for study.
