dc.description.abstract | People often hear news about how easy it is to acquire firearms. What they do not hear is, “How to get rid of unwanted firearms?” While selling unwanted firearms at a buyback event might seem like a good option, these events have a history of reselling the collected firearms and their components, putting them back into circulation. It is possible to destroy firearms yourself, but this requires uncommon equipment and can be dangerous. The goal of this project is to provide a safe and publicly accessible option for firearm disposal that guarantees destruction of unwanted firearms. | |
