Design and Manufacturing I at the University of Michigan is the first course Mechanical Engineering students take to learn about introductory engineering principles and design processes (first principle and empirical model, free-body diagrams, linear and rotational motions, CAD, machining, assembly, etc). In the last six semesters, students have produced progressively less creative Robot Machine Player designs for the current game. To address this, we design a new game for Fall24 delivering a playing field and game manual. The game should be conducive to teaching linear and rotational motion and require collaboration between robots to earn points in the game.
