Anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor-modified T-cell (CAR-T) therapy is a type of targeted therapy that has improved outcomes for children and adults with relapsed/refractory CD19+ B-cell leukemia or lymphoma. This therapy, however, is associated with toxicities, including cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), which can lead to morbidity and mortality for affected patients. Clinical and biological risk factors are being studied in an effort to mitigate the risk of these toxicities and improve overall outcomes relating to CAR-T therapy. The objective of this scoping review is to ascertain the repertoire of biomarkers that have been associated with toxicities related to CAR-T therapy in children and adults with relapsed/refractory B-cell leukemias and lymphomas.en_US
