Assisted vaginal delivery devices are used to reduce the need for C-sections in difficult births. Our goal was to design an assistive device that enhances the safety and efficiency of vaginal deliveries. The device should assist vaginal delivery and be easy to use, low-cost, reusable, and functional without electricity. Our design is a modular vacuum device that reduces the cost of assisted delivery compared to current devices. The modular device is fully sanitizable and includes a traction and vacuum pressure gauge to ensure the safety of both the birthing patient and the fetus, along with safeguards against excessive traction force.
