dc.description.abstract | The heat capacity of sodium azide was determined from 5 to 350 K by adiabatic calorimetry and a thermal anomaly associated with a structural transformation of the crystalline lattice was observed in the heat capacity at (293.0+/-0.1) K. The excess entropy associated with this transition was determined to be only (0.008+/-0.001) calth K-1 mol-1. At 298.15 K, the values for Cp, S, {H(T)-H(0)}/T, and -{G(T)-H(0)}/T, respectively, are 18.31, 23.15, 11.813, and 11.340 calth K-1 mol-1. | en_US |
