The laser optogalvanic (LOG) spectrum of the (0,0) bands of the B 3[Pi] 3[Delta] transition of titanium oxide (TiO) has been observed. The TiO molecules were generated in a glow discharge by sputtering titanium metal and TiO2 from the inner surface of a hollow cathode. Possible mechanisms for the molecular LOG effect are discussed.en_US
