A nuclear reactor has been used to determine trace amounts of titanium by neutron-activation analysis in a variety of samples. A 10-min radiochemical separation procedure coupled with gamma-ray spectrometry permitted measurement of 5[middle dot]8-min titanium-51. With a neutron flux of about 1012 neutrons.cm-2.sec-1 the practical lower limit of detection was about 6 x 10-7 g of titanium.en_US
