Cortisol and cortisone excretion rates were determined simultaneously in 43 healthy infants, children and young adults. The results are compared to similar studies in 10 adults. A range of normal values is given. In terms of body weight, young people as compared with adults excrete significantly less free cortisol, but similar amounts of cortisone.en_US
