The author describes a lens-pinhole spatial filter assembly with good thermal and vibration stability, of lower cost than commercially available units and capable of precise and easy alignment, yet rugged enough for normal student use. The assembly provides an expanded laser output beam with a Gaussian intensity profile.en_US
