dc.description.abstract1. This project was conducted at UMBS, Pellston, Michigan, during the summer of 1965. 2. The purpose was to find indications of microhabitat preference in Macrobiotus hufelandi. 3. M. hufelandi occurs more often on Cladonia uncialis than on C. rangeferina and does not occur at all on C. mitis. 4. Possibly M. hufelandi can detect the acid differences in the three species of Cladonia studied. 5. More samples and analyses need to be made before any conclusions can be made.en_US
