We performed this study to compare survivorship curves and construct life tables of Campeloma decisum and Ligumia nasuta. We collected shells of dead individuals at Grapevine and Pine Points on Douglas Lake, and aged the shells by counting annual growth rings. The survivorship curves for the two species closely matched. This similarity supports our hypothesis that these species, of the same phylum, enduring identical environmental conditions yield similar survivorship curves.en_US
