Observations on Streptopus amplexifolius and Streptopus roseus.

Abstract
This paper examines observations made on Streptopus amplexifolius and Streptopus roseus in Northern Michigan and Ontario in the summer of 1994. In this paper I discuss field observations of Streptopus amplexifolius and Streptopus roseus to suggest general trends on how these species interact with their habitat. Further I am going to examine whether my field observations match those previous observations by Voss (1972), and Gleason and Cronquist (1991). Finally I am going to compare sites north of the Mackinac bridge with those to the south. All conclusions from this paper are the result of field observation. No attempts were made to systematically determine how these species interact with their environment or each other. This is a descriptive exercise based on field notes.Subjects
