Increasing use and recreation on the foredune area of the Wilderness State Park shoreline has lead to the degradation of several threatened species. These species include: Houghton's goldenrod, Lake Huron tansy, Pitcher's thistle, and the dwarf lake iris. In order to minimize the damage to plants this study targets an educational strategy for management with the development of materials to reach all audiences of the Wilderness State Park. Materials developed in this project are a general pamphlet to reach all users, a more detailed brochure for hikers and explorers, and a more in-depth booklet for the user with a great interest in the sensitive plants of the coastal dune area.en_US
