A widley recognized dichotomy of male and female human behavior leads to a prediction of differences in occurrence of injury and illness between males and females. The data were collected at UMBS using a questionnaire, the Station's nurses' records, and additional observations. No differences were found in base injury and illness occurrence, but differences were found in the number of men and women who report last injuries and in the amount of time they waited before seeing a health care professional after being injured.en_US
