Fish from populations resident in South Fishtail Bay, Douglas Lake, Cheboygan County, Michigan were recorded through a hydrophone in aquaria and in settings within the lake to determine which species produce sounds and what kinds of sounds they produce. Nearly all species were found to produce repeated clicks of various frequency and at various intervals. Identification of mechanisms of and reasons for sound production remains to be done in future experimentation.en_US
