dc.description.abstract | This experiment examines the foraging behavior of ants (Lasius neoniger) in relation to food preference and distance. Specifically, it will study the food choice between peanut butter, tuna and fish food. Furthermore, differences between foraging behavior at 0.5 m and 2.0 m from the colony will be examined. Optimal foraging theory predicts that the ants will be more selective about their food choices at further distances. | en_US |
