Reactive nitrogen species, NOx, PAN, PPN, MPAN, HONO, nitric acid, and NO3- were measured during the six week PROPHET intensive at a rural site in northern Michigan. Speciation, species/NOy, ozone production efficiency, and rate of ozone production dependence on NOx were assessed for a two day period spanning over 0000 August 4, through August 5, 2400 EDT. It was observed that, despite southerly flow and anthropogenic source contributions for the fifth of August, the speciation and ozone production efficiencies for both days were generally characteristic of clean northerly flow.en_US
