Corporate judo is an innovative approach to increased growth, market share, and profitability. In this paper the authors present a framework for applying judo to competitors that have recently undergone a merger, acquisition, downsizing, or restructuring. Case study data illustrate the potential benefits of corporate judo. The authors conclude by discussing some implications of the framework for competitive theory and practice.en_US
