A Wiki-Wonderland II: Expanding and Growing the Kresge Library Wiki

Abstract

Following up on last year's session which introduced the Kresge Library Wiki, we will explore the continued expansion of this central resource at the library. Going beyond topics pages, the Wiki is now central to the way that we work with students on projects, MAP teams, and for class assignments. This session will cover an introduction to the Kresge Library Wiki and discuss the ways that it continually changes to meet the needs of the Ross Community and others that contact the library. As more faculty learn of this tool, we are finding opportunities to work with other classes and assignments to provide greater clarity for students as they work through projects. We continue to see the Wiki as a blank slate, providing a free-form and liberating approach to sharing information with our varied users. This presentation will both discuss the development and initial goals of the Kresge Library Wiki, as well as some of the new directions that we have taken during the last year to meet the needs of the school.
