The 40Ar([tau], n)42Ca reaction
(Elsevier, 1974-05-13)
The results of an investigation of the 40Ar([tau], n)42Ca reaction at 18.65 MeV incident energy are reported. The weakness of the transition to the 1.84 MeV 0+ level is in disagreement with 4p-2h descriptions of this state.
On the lattice approach to the maximum Higgs boson mass
(Elsevier, 1988-09-08)
If the triviality upper bound on the Higgs boson mass mH occurs for strong self-coupling, inferring properties of the Higgs from the euclidean propagator is in principle theoretically difficult whether in coordinate or ...
A Stochastic Model for Wound Healing
(Kluwer Academic Publishers-Plenum Publishers; Springer Science+Business Media, Inc., 2006-03)
We present a discrete stochastic model which represents many of the salient features of the biological process of wound healing. The model describes fronts of cells invading a wound. We have numerical results in one and ...
Energy conditions in non-Riemannian spacetimes
(Elsevier, 1994-12-26)
We interpret the energy conditions in non-Riemannian spacetimes by applying them to a family of stationary, axially symmetric solutions for the gravitational field equations for an Einstein-Cartan theory in a Riemann-Cartan ...
A statistical interpretation of large angle proton-proton elastic scattering
(Elsevier, 1964-02-15)
Evidence for the decay
(Elsevier, 1987-04-30)
The inclusive production of [eta] mesons in tau lepton decay has been studied using the High Resolution Spectrometer at the PEP e+e- facility. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 300 pb-1 and the ...
Quasinormal distributions and expansion at the mode
(Kluwer Academic Publishers-Plenum Publishers; Plenum Publishing Corporation ; Springer Science+Business Media, 1974-09)
The Gram-Charlier series of type A is discussed in terms of deviants which are related to moments in a way similar to the way Hermite polynomials are related to the powers. Distribution functions are also expressed in terms ...
Cluster expansion for the dielectric constant of a polarizable suspension
(Kluwer Academic Publishers-Plenum Publishers; Plenum Publishing Corporation ; Springer Science+Business Media, 1982-05)
We derive a cluster expansion for the electric susceptibility kernel of a dielectric suspension of spherically symmetric inclusions in a uniform background. This also leads to a cluster expansion for the effective dielectric ...
Pion multiplicity and Regge trajectories
(Elsevier, 1971-06-07)
Assuming that the zero multiplicity limit of the Poisson distribution in multiparticle production is relaxed to the non diffractive part of the elastic scattering cross section, we obtain the pion multiplicity expressed ...
Euclidean nonlinear classical field equations with unique vacuum
(Springer-Verlag, 1978-10)
We study the real, Euclidean, classical field equation 0$$]]> where φ: ℝ d →ℝ is suitably small at infinity. We study existence and regularity assuming that λ≧0, F ∈ C ∞ (ℝ), and aF ( a )≧0∀ a ∈∝. These hypotheses allow ...
