dc.description.abstract | A better relationship between the shock‐wave and impact velocities in high‐speed water‐solid impact is determined from the fundamental equations of continuity, momentum, and state. A second‐order relationship is hypothesized and the necessary coefficients then found using the Tait equation of state. Very good agreement is found with available experimental data for water. | en_US |
