Many lubricants contain additives that are designed to improve performance under high pressure conditions. There are a number of test devices that are designed to evaluate these extreme pressure additives, however, they do not always correlate. Two common test devices are the twist-compression test and the four-ball test. The goal of this project is to design a single device that performs both tests.en_US
