dc.description.abstract | Our team spent four weeks conducting clinical observations at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, Ghana. During this experience we identified a disconnect in the system between labor and delivery. We identified a need to design a streamlined, multifunctional labor and delivery device to be used in resource-limited settings, such that patients may labor and deliver in the same location, thereby increasing the safety, comfort, and efficiency of the birthing process. | en_US |
