The Transect Recording Database is a database of all transect recording sheets completed for the intensive transect survey component of the Aphrodisias Regional Survey carried out in 2007-2008. We used the transect recording sheets to document field types, survey conditions, numbers and sherds and tiles counted (total and per field walker), and types of miscellaneous finds noticed during the intensive transect survey. There are a total of 203 records. Transect units are identified by their unique transect survey unit numbers, e.g., "NW01." Individual transect units or "subtransects" belonging to sites identified in Evelyn Adkins' catalogue in the "Intensive Transect Survey" article are identified by their site numbers in the catalogue (e.g., "Adkins 12"). Alternate names given to sites such as D195 (ID number given in the Aphrodisias Site Database) are also listed under "site name" to facilitate cross-referencing. Some numbers were skipped during the survey, so subtransect numbers are generally but not always sequential.en_US
