dc.description.abstractThis paper on ship repair costs was originally written in Japanese by Prof. F. Hiramoto of the Department of Naval Architecture, University of Tokyo. At my request, Prof. Hiramoto's colleague Dr. T. Koyama translated it into English, and it is his translation (with my editing) that appears here.
