dc.description.abstract | Originally a film festival catalog analysis of an American WWII documentary about the education system of Japan. The filmmakers repurposed captured enemy propaganda footage to turn the images against themselves. Although filled with stereotyping, it was clear the filmmakers also felt some sympathy with the Japanese people. | en_US |
