Description: The cistern is located at the Koca Ören Olive Oil Factory Settlement(F010) and was surrounded by rooms on all sides. The water stored there may have been used in cultivation and processing, supplying water both for the operation of the presses and for cleaning up afterward. It is built of mortared rubble, except at the southwest corner, where it was cut into the limestone bedrock, and measures 25.0 m by 7.2 m. Originally the cistern was covered by a barrel vault, and the side walls survive to a height of 3.10 m, to the springing point; thus, the volume was at least approximately 560 m3. The presence of two Ottoman cisterns nearby (B043, B049) suggests that this area is a significant catchment basin.
Finds: Numerous agricultural blocks, and column fragment (Diam: 0.41m, p. H:1.12m). Pithos fragments and small rim fragments found near opening.
