Local Name: Narlıger Mevkii, SW of Seki Local Informant: Kismet Çağdak Local Information: Field owner's grandson recently leveled an elevated platform in the field with bulldozer. Mayor's assistant said that geologically there is 50m of alluvial sediment in the valley floor. Latitude: 37.41.32.994 Longitude: 28.46.50.550 Elevation: 649.33m Dimensions: Threshold Block: L: 1.44m; D: 1.00m; H: 0.31m ** Double Engaged Half Column: pres. Several piles of stone at edges of field containing worked marble blocks and architectural fragments, including 3 marble column bases, 2 spiral fluted marble colonettes, a marble threshold block, 4 double engaged half columns, capital fragments, and an inscribed base overcut with a cross (B074). The blocks may come from a villa, or perhaps from an elaborate tomb. One piece of revetment is decorated with incised bird. Site revisited on 14 June 2008 to conduct systematic pottery collection, but while there is a fair amount of tile scatter, no ceramics were visible in the unplowed area with the blocks or in any of the plowed fields surrounding it. Finds: marble floor tiles, petit appareil blocks, base molded block, revetment, inscribed revetment, tile ** Systematic pottery collection on 6/14/2008
