dc.description | Description: Tomb: well preserved platform; one vault of substructure is visible, in a gentle southward slope; now used to store baled hay. The west corner, and south and east parts of a platform are well preserved. Toward the east end of the southwest side, above two roughly laid foundation courses the outer wall stands to at least three courses of petit appareil masonry; the central area of the platform is filled with mortared rubble to a slightly greater height. Toward the west end of the southwest side, the crown of a sw-ne oriented barrel vault is visible. Since the vault is not centered on the platform, it could be one of the several vaults that make up the substructures of a complex vaulted tomb. ** Sarcophagus: Sarcophagus bottom preserves entire depth and about half its width. Found on top of a large tomb platform with a vaulted space underneath, possibly in situ, near Sarcophagus C022. ** Laurel-leaf lower molding on short and on visible long sides, with remnants of delicate vegetal decoration on the panel above. Two other sarcophagus fragments were found in the process of cleaning the platform (inv. nos. 2007-047 and 048). | en_US |
