dc.description | Description: Marble column fragment bearing inscription. Asymetrical dowel cuttings on exposed surface may indicate that it is upside down; but lacks pour channels, may be for attaching small statue, perhaps bronze. Emin Bey suggested that it is a milestone and that the strange inscribed letters are numbers. | en_US |
