Description: Two fragments of two different sarcophagi found together on top of a field wall by the road. ** Sarcophagus A. Preserves right corner of the chest to full height, almost half the width of the front panel, and a small portion of the right short side. ** The front of the chest preserves a nude male figure standing on a small plinth with his weight on his right foot, wearing a chlamys over his left shoulder. His right arm reaches toward the handle of a tabula and appears to hold a small object. Figure is unfinished, with small point chisel marks visible. The lower right corner of the rectangular tabula is preserved and has a molded frame and one triangular handle. Socle molding is beveled on the front, and the right short side is undecorated and roughly finished.
