dc.descriptionDescription: Left front corner of chest, preserving most of short side and small portion of front. Interior preserves two stone abakeion supports. Clamp for lid preserved on upper molding. Found with fragment of another columnar sarcophagus, F083. Not likely the same sarcophagus; very different wall thicknesses. Large architectural block is nearby. ** The front preserves about two-thirds of a plain column with a simple uncarved capital, part of an arch, and the arm and half of the torso of a figure, possibly veiled. On the short side is an unfinished Medusa head.en_US
