dc.description | Description: Vaulted chamber tomb. Tomb faced west, while axis of vaulted antechamber is north south (2 degrees). Only the small, narrow antechamber can be accessed, but the doorway leading into the main chamber to the east is visible; most of the antechamber is filled in. ** Shallow barrel vault with petit apareil masonry on lower walls and scored pointing. Many architectural blocks that may have belonged to the monumental superstructure sit atop the mound over the tomb, including 2 door frame pieces (Top lintel: W: 1.02m; H: 0.25m; D: 0.28m; jamb: H: 1.07m; D: 0.51m). Also on top of mound is a gray marble block that could be part of a gutter or drainage system; a large hole in the side with residue of lime mortar, leads into a shallow channel (L: 1.10m; W: 0.80m; H: 0.24m; Hole diameter: 0.19m; Channel L: 0.65m; W: 0.06m; D: 0.07m). Several walls of presumed later date are built atop the mound as well, at the southeast corner. | en_US |
