Description: Five fragments of two columnar sarcophagi found together. ** Sarcophagus B. Larger, more roughly finished columnar sarcophagus with plain columns, unfinished column capitals, figures in the intercolumniations, and roughly worked socle moldings. ** (1.) Bottom corner fragment, probably the front right. ** Front preserves one corner of a column plinth and a vertical curved ridge to the left, possibly from a figure's drapery. Socle molding consists of bevel, fascia, and roughly worked torus. ** (2.) Large piece of bottom preserving more than half its width and half its depth. ** The short side preserves two roughly worked torus moldings and a small piece of the background surface above, worked with a point chisel. ** (3.) Front right upper corner, preserving approximately one-quarter its width. ** The corner column preserves a large unfinished capital and a small part of the plain shaft. The front preserves the head and shoulder of a veiled figure with facial features broken away, below four bands of architectural molding in shallow relief. The short side is more roughly worked with point chisel.en_US
