Description: Six sarcophagus fragments build into wall on east side of field: 5 chest fragments (two from same chest) and 1 lid fragment. In the same field wall are at least five large architectural blocks. Fragment A lies about 20–25 m north of Fragments C–E; Fragment B lies across the path from the others, mostly buried. ** Sarcophagus C. Two joining fragments of a garland sarcophagus decorated on four sides. Torus molding around entire bottom edge. ** (1.) Preserves small part of one short side and part of bottom. On short side, profile of lower torus molding is visible, as well as a small area of carved decoration, probably a grape cluster. ** (2.) Preserves bottom, parts of both long sides, and most of one short side. Visible surfaces very worn and lichen encrusted, buried surfaces better preserved. Visible long side preserves lower torus molding, the tip of a grape cluster, and the lower edge of a plinth for a supporting figure. Short side preserves torus molding and the lower edge of a garland swag with hanging grape cluster; corner decoration is broken away. Opposite long side is not easily visible (overturned in wall), but a well-preserved grape cluster and the straight lower edge of either a tabula or an acanthus plinth for a supporting figure are visible. ** (3.) small fragment preserving a corner bow found in a field wall next to Fragment 2.
