Description: On the far northwest corner of the peak of Baba Daği in the area of the group of cairns and overlooking the Maeander valley, a great deal of pottery is visible on the surface over an area roughly 5m by 15m. The pottery scatter drops off and disappears when moving south outside of this area. The pottery is predominantly Hellenistic/ Early Roman and includes: Echinus bowl rims; lime cookware rims, handles and body sherds; and numerous mold made bowl fragments. No remains of ancient walls are visible, though farther to the east are a group of stacked stone sheep folds. ** 5/13/2008 - Several tile fragments are also in the area, and these suggest a more formal roofed structure in the area of the peak.en_US
