Description: White, coarse grain marble quarry; extracted from hillside in upper and lower areas until stone became fractured, then abandoned. Iron weathering. Lower (and larger) area approx. 40 x 25 x 20 m. ** Quality (amount of fractures): High in exposed bedrock due to a discrete fault zone, higher quality can be seen in spoil from modern blocks. ** Direction of joints: Everywhere, range from 1.6 to .05 m. Direction of Openings: NW ** Colors: White ** Marble grain: Coarse ** Largest measured block extraction: 1.40 x 2.20 x 1 m.
