dc.description | Description: Site of a farmstead near a counterweight block (A043). A large amount of pottery and tile fragments are seen on the surface. There are also several fragments of terracotta pipe joined with lime. A field wall contains many large petit appareil blocks; they are mortared together and my have once been part of a house wall. Pottery collected includes several molded boll fragments, some LCW, some LBW, and large amounts of TMW; occupation can only be dated to the "Roman period". ** Point added to system 17 June 2008 | en_US |
