Description: Several fragments all found together: one fragment of a large sarcophagus lid that is about the same scale as one large fragment of a frieze sarcophagus; and two small fragments of a second frieze sarcophagus. ** B. Chest preserves one short side, small parts of two long sides, all walls broken away about two-thirds from top. Decoration on the short side is well preserved, except figure's torso is chipped away. ** Chest B may belong to Lid A. ** The short side preserves a large reclining draped figure from the waist down. The figure reclines on its left arm, the outer edge of which is preserved, amid water descending from the right of the panel and flowing along the bottom to the left corner. The figure's left leg is extended and the right leg bent under. Near the left foot, the lower portion of the prow of a boat curves outward. One long side preserves the left lower leg and part of the right foot of a figure, possibly wearing boots, striding with its weight on the left leg. The other long side preserves the lower right corner of a door frame, with the left panel opening outward. To the right, a section of the chest's socle molding projects outward about 0.03 m. All three sides have five bands of socle molding. ** Point added 21 June 2008en_US
