    Abstract

    Two newly described fossil whales, a pregnant female and a male of the same species, reveal how primitive whales gave birth (on land) and provide new insights into how whales made the transition from land to sea. Fossil find reveals details of early whale evolution Interview and b-roll of Philip Gingerich with fossils, describing discovery and significance of the find.
