    Abstract

    Panel discussion that touches upon numerous issues that faced the NSFNET community. Panelists discuss, among other items, the challenges faced in building the NSFNET and regional networks; the roles of government, business, universities, and individuals; the exceptional level of cooperation between corporate interests and between private and public sectors; and lessons to be learned in replicating this success in future government, corporate, and higher education efforts to spur technological innovation
