Record of baptisms performed by Rev. Friedrich Schmid and/or others from 1845-1875. Information likely refers to congregants of Bethlehm Church (Ann Arbor, Mich., the precursor organization of Zion Lutheran Church); may include records related to other congregations in Schmid's jurisdiction (such as Salem Lutheran Church). Baptismal records are in German and extend across facing pages. Information includes the Christian name of the child, parents' names, place and time of birth, place and time of baptism, the clergyman who performed the baptism, and witnesses to the baptism.en_US
